KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The agricultural sector continues to penetrate export markets abroad. Not only superior commodities, agricultural supporting facilities such as organic fertilizers are in demand by foreign markets. This is evident from the initial exports of organic fertilizer and decomposers from PT Indo Acidatama Tbk (SRSN), Pomi and Beka to the Malaysian market.
“We are proud that there are agricultural products, especially organic fertilizers, that are in demand by foreign markets. It is hoped that these exports will continue,” said the Director General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities, Sarwo Edhy when releasing the first export of PT Indo Acidatama Organic Fertilizer in Karanganyar, as quoted in a press release, Friday (13/12).
Sarwo further said that the export activities carried out by PT Indo Acidatama through PT Berkah Karya Kusumo were able to assist the government in economic growth to maximize exports in order to build the nation’s economy.
“Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo emphasized that agricultural exports must be tripled,” said Sarwo.
The liquid organic fertilizer (POC) and decomposers exported this time amounted to 10,000 liters, with an export value of Rp. 400 million, with the destination of Malaysia. Going forward, PT Indo Acidatama and PT Berkah Karya Kusumo will direct their exports to Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar in parallel.
Since its inception in 1986, this company produces ethanol and is exported to more than 10 countries and mostly used as a raw material for the pharmaceutical industry. Now with a production capacity of 20 million liters, PT Indo Acidatama has been developing its business into liquid organic fertilizers and biodecomposers since 12 years ago.
